We are excited to present to you the new image and message for Plymouth!
On Monday, December 6th, The Midas Center presented the new campaign as the outcome for the Wheel of Progress: 2010. The Wheel of Progress: 2010 was a community-wide survey that was distributed to the public for ten days throughout the month of November. This ten day survey was created to include the public's opinion on who Plymouth is and what should Plymouth be known. The Wheel of Progress: 2010 was developed to attract and retain Plymouth's area residents, businesses and visitors.
The results of this survey were presented live and a link is
available here. Some of the most noteworthy results from the Wheel of Progress included the top five of the "quality of life" results which included education, parks and recreation, medical facilities, churches, sense of community and the public services (police, fire, emergency). This information helped The Midas Center develop a genuine and honest image and message for Plymouth, Indiana.
This new brand message will provide many benefits to the community ultimately providing a forward movement with many of the public entities sharing in this new image and message and developing an online community web site. This campaign began just three short months ago when
Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter,
PCSC Superintendent Dan Tyree,
PIDCO President Mark Gidley,
Chamber of Commerce President, Dee Brown and
City's Center Jim Vinall discussed an agreed upon realization of Plymouth's outdated image and message online. Together they commissioned
The Midas Center to provide its professional services to create a cohesive image.
The Midas Center started the process with market research that included a public survey survey, one-on-one key stakeholder interviews, a community wide market audit and a year in review snapshop. The data collected from this research provided the criteria necessary to design an accurate and cohesive image or brand message for the city.
We are pleased to announce the new image and message for Plymouth, as presented by The Midas Center:
Plymouth is more than being a Pilgrim and standing at the first rock our forefathers found when arriving to this land. Plymouth is about the journey. A journey with generations of families who have been committed to hard work and sacrifice. A place of classic quality, made of the people who live, work and visit making their mark along the way.
We invite you, to “Join us in the journey.”
The next phase of this campaign will be presented in March 2011. Feel free to share your comments below.
