Barbara is a board member of the Marshall County Community Foundation, and helped plan the organization's 20th anniversary celebration. She is a former English teacher, who now runs Culver Storage with her husband Ralph Winters.

Barbara is keeping up with the latest technology trends. She recently learned to use text messaging because it is the only way she can reach her granddaughters. "I try calling them, emailing them...they don't respond.  But when I text them, they text me back seconds later," Winters says.
